A landmark trade masterclass series led by Amanda Barnes MW
Register your interestSouth American wine is rooted in five centuries of viticulture, shaped by altitude, isolation, immigration, and an extraordinary diversity of terroir. The past three decades have brought a new chapter: a generation of growers and winemakers pushing to the edges of what's possible, finding new elevations, new varieties, and new ways of expressing a landscape unlike anywhere else on earth.
Led by Amanda Barnes MW, author of The South America Wine Guide and the world's foremost authority on the continent's wines, each session traces a single through-line: how Argentina, Chile and Uruguay built a wine culture over centuries, and where that culture is going next. Twelve bottles. Twelve turning points. Ninety minutes that will change how you sell, recommend, and talk about South American wine.
Each masterclass is followed by a tasting reception.
Complimentary for qualifying wine trade professionals. Places are limited.
Amanda, who has been based in South America for over 15 years, is the leading specialist on the wines of South America. Using her experience, she has chosen wines for this masterclass that showcase the history of the continent, and where it is going next.

Her book, The South America Wine Guide was awarded the John Avery Award at the André Simon Awards, the Fortnum & Mason Best Debut Drink Book Award and Gourmand Best World Wine Book.
